Dylan's Birthday and other things to catch up on

The first big news of Dylan's birthday weekend was that Dylan lost his first tooth. It seems like this was the first tooth he got when he was a baby. That's kind of cool to think about. Matt asked me if I wanted to keep it for his baby book...that's kind of gross. I said, no thanks!

We celebrated Dylan's birthday with his buddies at Monster Jam at the Sprint Center. Then everyone came over to our house for supper and cake.

Here's Collin yelling at the top of his lungs trying to make people hear him over the roar of the trucks!

Here's Collin checking out the snowboarding show at the Power & Light District before the monster truck show. He's a little sad that all of this wasn't for him. : ) Notice the short sleeves...and we're sitting outside!! It was 70 degrees that day...I don't think the snowboarders planned on the snow melting that day!!

I know this update should have taken place several weeks ago, but we've all been sick once again. Yuck!! I'll have pictures from the Junior Wildcat Day on the next update.

Our baby is growing up!

Before I get to show you how Collin isn't a baby anymore, I thought I'd share with you one more picture from Super Bowl Sunday. Here is Dylan, with Brady, Kohlton & Sydney...showing us their coooool poses. Crazy kids.



And here's Moxie hanging on for dear life to HER chair. Speak of the devil, here she comes...she just hopped up on the couch to look at her picture...oh, I mean, paw at my hand until I pet her. What a sweet girl.

Collin has decided that he doesn't want anything to do with a bottle or baby food. If he sees a spoon dipped into a baby food jar and then stuck up to his mouth, he promptly pushes it away. So this week we have given him people food for his meals. I told Heather not to bother buying anymore baby food either. Tonight he sampled mixed veggies and sloppy joes, along with juice in a sippy cup.

Dylan got in trouble for throwing cars tonight and had to sit in his room for 5 minutes. Look who followed him in there. I heard Dylan telling Collin, "you can't come in here...I'm in trouble."

She is only 1 day younger than Collin, and she is fighting Stage 4 Neuroblastoma. I just found their blog, and I'm sitting here in tears thinking of my own little Collin, and wondering how I would be able to watch him in a hospital bed like this precious little Cora.

Super Bowl Sunday Go Cardinals!!

I thought I would quickly update the blog before I go pick Dylan up at his friend's house. We're just hanging out before Dylan and I head over to McCarty's for the Super Bowl tonight. Matt volunteered to stay home with Collin since he's still feeling under the weather.

I did dress him up in his Chiefs football jersey and take some pictures of him. He wanted to eat the football instead of throwing it.

Dylan's class had Pioneer Day on Friday. They were supposed to dress up like people in the 1800's. This is all I could get him to wear...and then he even took the bandana off when we got into the school!!
